Regional Product Manager

Regional product manager is responsible for bringing the product successfully to the market. At THS, Product manager is the #1 representative of the product in her/his region both within Topcon corporation and towards the market. Regional Product Manager has a key role in bringing the product successfully to the market. Regional product manager captures the regional requirements, prioritizes and converts them into user stories which will eventually become product features. You work very closely with the global product manager and help her/him building the overall product roadmap. In addition to product planning, you take significant role in product launches and customer implementation projects. You take responsibility on product training to both internal (sales teams, operations teams, etc.) and external stakeholders (customers and partner network). In order to be successful you should have good communication skills and be capable of making independent and just decisions. At Topcon regional product manager preferably has experience from the optical and/or ophthalmic market, healthcare processes and understands the standards in medical IT. You're able to travel frequently to our customers, partners and tradeshows.

In addition to above, your responsibilities are:

  • Gather ideas and requirements from customers, sales, marketing and regulations
  • Define business requirements and translate them into software requirements
  • Create and prioritize regional roadmap
  • Act as a service designer in our key customer projects
  • Arrange product trainings to different stakeholders
  • Localize product material
  • Act as the #1 product representative/specialist in different events such as trade shows, customer meetings, demos, etc.


At THS, Regional Product Manager resides in the global product management organisation - however, you work closely with most business functions such as sales, operations, education, etc. Regional Product Manager reports to Global Product Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Strong technical/IT competence
  • 5-7 years of work experience
  • At least 3 years of product management experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree of relevant field
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good team working skills and a can do -attitude
  • Good documentation skills and an eager mind to investigate and learn new things
  • Readiness to travel within USA and abroad
  • Knowledge of EHRs, Healthcare IT systems is a plus
