Additionally, Topcon now provides an integrated service that connects practitioners to an extensive network of reading services to assist in the management of sight-threatening eye diseases.

Come join us! Topcon, is looking for an Assistant Controller position to support our growing business. We are seeking a hands on, self-motivated problem-solver with the ability to work both independent and as part of a team. Responsible for accurate and timely performance of day-to-day accounting processes; assists in all responsibilities and completes specific assignments in general ledger accounting; applies appropriate accounting principles, practices and procedures to corporate processes; and performs other specific assignments as deemed appropriate by management.

Responsibilities
• Prepares financial statements to summarize the company's financial status.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the forecast and budget
• Establish and implement short and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures
• Continuously review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Coordinate the year end audit.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Coordination of accounting software setup for new entities is in line with consolidation requirements
• Assist in implementing internal controls

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is required, CPA required
  • 8+ years in accounting with the most recent 1-2 years as an Assistant Controller.
  • Experience in a growing organization during a time of international expansion.
  • Experience with foreign currency translations.
  • Experience with international entity set-up and consolidations.
  • Expert understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with strict deadlines.
