The company's products enable the collection and visualization of a wide range of imaging and clinical data while providing quantitative and clinical analysis capabilities.

Topcon's software gives clinicians access to patient exam data captured from OCTs, Visual Fields, Fundus Cameras, and other Topcon and third-party devices. Topcon leverages its new data management system called Topcon Harmony, where practitioners gain access to both DICOM and non-DICOM information stored in a central, cloud-based environment. Additionally, Topcon now provides an integrated service that connects practitioners to an extensive network of reading services to assist in the management of sight-threatening eye diseases.

The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting department which includes 3 AP specialist, 2 AR specialist and 2 senior accountants. This position will have exposure to a broad range of accounting functions including, but not limited to, month end closing and reporting, account analysis and governmental compliance reporting. The Assistant Controller will also be in charge of the yearly internal audit.

Core Job Duties:
  • Supervise the accounting department consisting of 7 direct reports.
  • Month end closings, financial analysis and internal reporting for all Subsidiaries
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the forecast and budget
  • Treasury management
  • Compliance reporting (J-Sox, Governmental, etc.)
  • Responsible for the review of all debit notes and credit notes to/from THQ
  • Review all intercompany invoices.
  • Account analysis for high visibility accounts
  • Responsible for calculating and review commissions.

Education & Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting with eight+ years of full-time accounting experience including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role required
  • Accounting experience within a SAAS environment
  • Must be proficient with Excel utilizing pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Experience with SAP Business by Design
  • CPA
