We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Building Construction (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible and offer an interesting and varied job in a professional Team.

What You Will Do:
  • Identify and work with key accounts in the building construction market, identifying requirements, understanding the overall market, creating sales and marketing programs and promotions to develop business
  • Accountable for the sales performance of the territory and for achieving revenue, profit and agreed KPI targets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with existing and potential customers and industry contacts, proactively and diligently working to ensure customer needs are met
  • Provision of accurate sales forecasts to sales and operations management
  • Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations at customer business locations or via online remote meetings
  • Develop customer proposals and negotiate terms of sale and service agreements
  • Create and maintain detailed customer records on the CRM system
  • Work closely with Business Unit and Product Management teams
  • Strive to ensure Building Construction product portfolio is represented in the appropriate channels and participate in target setting and achievement of channel sales goals
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential customers while representing Topcon at key industry events, trade shows, lectures and follow up on all sales leads to close
  • Maintain presence with industry organizations e.g. through social media activities
  • Self-motivating keeping efforts focused to achieve growth and assigned goals


What You Need:
  • A qualifying education and/or a successful work experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or Land Surveying
  • Strong sales experience in a similar role with a proven ability to sell, ideally gained in the Building Construction sector or similar sectors
  • Demonstrable and successful sales record for building construction solutions
  • Ability to manage the sales pipeline from prospect through to a successful sales closure and ongoing account management
  • Dedicated to customer retention, satisfaction and consistently improving results
  • Capability to take ownership and responsibility
  • Desirable skills in MS Office 365 and SAP C4C
  • Efficiently communicates both verbally and written form in German and English language
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and set priorities
  • Consultative, collaborative and strategic sales knowledge
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
