PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Talent Acquisition Department under the Human Resources Directorate provides support to the workforce in the areas of recruitment and staffing, development, wage and salary administration, Affirmative Action, and employee benefits.

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Talent Acquisition Partner will be responsible for performing full life cycle recruiting efforts. The role is ideal for a strong candidate who is passionate about or interested in working toward exceeding company-hiring goals. This is a dual requisition that will be filled at either a Recruiter Level II or III.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Working closely with hiring managers, engaging as a strategic business partner to assess hiring and business needs and successfully fill job openings in a timely manner
  • Utilizing innovative recruiting methods to identify and attract talent
  • Strategically sourcing by using the internet, job boards, job postings, referrals, networking, our internal database, and any other resources to find potential candidates
  • Developing networks of people and processes to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Pre-screening resumes and evaluating candidate's qualifications and strengths by interviewing, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Documenting candidate evaluation and interview process
  • Negotiating and/or supporting hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/offers
  • Adhering to the proper policies and procedures of the full hiring life cycle
  • Promoting the company image to candidates and external service providers
  • Developing a community presence by networking with local leaders and associations
  • May develop, support and maintain college recruiting, affirmative action and career development programs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

This is a dual requisition. It will be filled at either a Recruiter Level II or III.
  • Possession of a BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
  • Level II - In addition to education requirements, a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience with full life cycle recruitment
  • Level III - In addition to education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience with full life cycle recruitment
  • Requires a broad range of experience with recruiting multiple skill sets and job functions
  • Experience using a wide variety of recruiting sources including but not limited to the following: Internet recruiting, employee referrals, social networks, job fairs, college career fairs, open house events, advertisements, etc.
  • The ability to interact with managers at all levels in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience with automated applicant tracking system (ATS)/requisition management and Microsoft Office Suites software
  • Knowledge of standard employment practices, EEO and employment laws and regulations, and basic compensation theory
  • Knowledge of techniques for preparing effective recruitment advertising using all media (print, electronic, web-based, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Previous recruiting experience in a life science or healthcare environment
