Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for an upcoming position for our premier team; Computer Systems Analyst located in Patuxent River, MD in support of the NAVAIR Systems Engineering Department Air 4.1 Specialty Engineering.
Job Background:
The Systems Engineering Department (AIR-4.1) requires systems specialty engineering and technical efforts to be performed in the following specialty engineering functional areas: Air/Ship Integration, Systems Safety, Mass
Properties, Survivability, Manufacturing & Quality, Air Platform Stores Integration, Metrology and Systems
Security Engineering. These efforts are focused across a broad business base comprised of Integrated Program
Teams (IPT's), Externally Directed Teams (EDT's) and Enterprise Teams (ET's), which support all Naval Air
Programs.
The mission of AIR-4.1 is to apply systems engineering knowledge and skills to provide support to Program
Executive Offices (PEOs) and Program Manager, Air (PMAs) by providing assessments of Aircraft, Weapon and
Integrated Systems' technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full
acquisition process and life cycle of a program.
Essential Job Functions of this Position:
The Computer Systems Analyst will carry out fact finding and analyses as assigned, (usually of a single activity or a routine problem); applies established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment and programming language have already been decided; may assist a higher-level systems analyst by preparing the detailed specifications required by computer programmers from information developed by the higher-level analyst and may research routine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents. When cost and deadline estimates are required, results receive closer review. The supervisor defines objectives, priorities and deadlines. Incumbents work independently; adapt guides to specific situations; resolve problems and deviations according to established practices; and obtain advice where precedents are unclear or not available. Completed work is reviewed for conformance to requirements, timeliness and efficiency.
Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
High school diploma or GED and three (3) or more years of experience in a position related to the functions listed above is required. Vocational training in an IT related discipline is required.
An active Secret security clearance is required.
