Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for an upcoming position for our premier team; Systems Engineer (Journeyman) located in Patuxent River, MD in support of the NAVAIR Systems Engineering Department Air 4.1 Specialty Engineering.
Job Background:
The Systems Engineering Department (AIR-4.1) requires systems specialty engineering and technical efforts to be performed in the following specialty engineering functional areas: Air/Ship Integration, Systems Safety, Mass
Properties, Survivability, Manufacturing & Quality, Air Platform Stores Integration, Metrology and Systems
Security Engineering. These efforts are focused across a broad business base comprised of Integrated Program
Teams (IPT's), Externally Directed Teams (EDT's) and Enterprise Teams (ET's), which support all Naval Air
Programs.
The mission of AIR-4.1 is to apply systems engineering knowledge and skills to provide support to Program
Executive Offices (PEOs) and Program Manager, Air (PMAs) by providing assessments of Aircraft, Weapon and
Integrated Systems' technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full
acquisition process and life cycle of a program.
Essential Job Functions of this Position:
The Systems Engineer will utilize programmatic or technical knowledge to identify, formulate, design and/or test practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems; and to employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.
Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physicals or a related scientific discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant experience related to Systems Engineering is required.
An active Secret security clearance is required.
