Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for the newest member of our premier team; Facility Security Officer. This position supports our Corporate Operations team in Lexington Park, MD.

Essential Job Functions of this Position:

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will be responsible for organizing, prioritizing and processing the day-to day security program in compliance with the NISPOM, DCID's and ICD's as required. He/She will provide monthly security reports, training, and briefings to employees and company leadership that proactively promote security compliance, emphasize security procedures, and direct all aspects of company security requirements. Will coordinate with corporate entities such as IT, Executive Management, Contracts, etc. to draft and implement company security policies and procedures as applicable.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Initiating, reviewing and maintaining all employee's clearances to include guidance and instruction on all security paperwork for accuracy and completion.
  • Track and maintain clearances, RRU submissions and completions, create and send collateral and program visit requests through JPAS.
  • Completing DD254 packages and the coordination of clearance with prime and subcontractor security departments
  • Submission of CAC Card forms and others as required by contract.
  • Administer a comprehensive security education and awareness training program to include oral presentation to all employees and consultants.
  • Conduct all security briefings, debriefings and refresher briefings as necessary to include Insider Threat, Foreign Travel, NATO, OPSEC, FOUO.
  • Prepare facility for required annual audits/vulnerability assessments
  • Provide facility alarm response as needed.
  • Manage and implement physical security safeguards for the protection of personnel and property.
  • Maintain classified documents
  • Support classified meetings
  • Investigate security violations and provide reports as required
  • Manage and maintain the company Standard Practice and Procedures (SPP) and other security related documentation as needed.
  • Depending on experience and training, may provide oversight of facility reception / front desk personnel

Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience

High school diploma or GED and two (2) to four (4) years of DoD industry security related experience is required. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Current FSO certification is highly desirable.

Must have current Top Secret clearance.
