The company's key products include deployable solar array systems, deployable structural and mechanical systems and supporting subsystems.

We have a current opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team in Goleta, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on various project tasks under direction of senior engineering staff and mentors in Deployable Solar Arrays, Structures and Mechanisms.
  • Apply engineering principles in areas of manufacturing and test.
  • Generate technical documentation, reporting and presentations of manufacturing and test results.


Ideal Experience:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering degree program. Preferably Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Hands-on engineering experience through internships, school projects, or teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Vigorous work ethic and high-performance standards
  • Competent with 3D CAD modeling, SolidWorks preferred
  • Must be US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations


Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge or experience with VSMs (Value Stream Map) and production line analysis
  • Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals
  • Ability to ask questions
  • Ability to thrive in team-based settings
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Interest in analytical thinking and creative problem solving
  • Strong organizational skills

Pay Range: $25- $30 per hour
