Summary
We have a current opportunity for a Lead Government Compliance Analyst to join our team REMOTELY, ideally located near one of our locations in Chantilly, VA, Jacksonville, FL, Marlborough, MA, Littleton, CO, Longmont, CO, Albuquerque, NM, Goleta, CA, or Greenville, IN.
Responsibilities
- Indirect rate modeling/development, oversight, and consultation on best practices for different segments.
- Liaison with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and/or other government representatives on various matters such as cost impact statements, forward pricing, and final overhead rates used on government contracts.
- SOX/DFARs controls alignment and development
- Assist with proposal review to ensure alignment of proposals with current indirect rates, forward pricing rates, and government accounting compliance.
- Consult and work with Redwire segment POCs and the government on contract close-outs.
- Prepare annual Incurred Costs Proposals for all segments, as required.
- Prepare and submit financial disclosure statements and other reports and documentation per CAS requirements.
- Design audit program and perform testing for government compliance specific items and work with Internal Audit on proper documentation and communication (e.g. Expense report audits and timekeeping floor checks).
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations (CAS, FAR, and other applicable regulations) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Collaborate with the corporate controller's office on behalf of segments on government accounting matters including providing expert advice regarding the allocation and allowance of specific cost items.
- Evaluate practices related to estimates, labor reporting, pricing, cost reporting, and allocations, ensuring compliance; addresses and remedies any noncompliant or inconsistent practices.
- Communicates with management regarding new and revised regulations and other changes to government accounting principles and practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Experience
- 8+ years of experience with a BS Degree (Accounting Preferred) or 6+ years of experience with a Masters Degree (Accounting or MBA preferred)
- Expert understanding of government accounting regulations such as FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
- Experience preparing, submitting, and auditing annual Incurred Cost reports.
- U.S. Government liaison and negotiating experience.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Familiarity with FFP, FPI, CP and T&M Contracting types
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Desired Skills
- Previous experience in a public company.
- Experience with project planning tools like Asana.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense or related industry
