Communications Specialist

Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for the newest member of our premier team; Communications Specialist. This position supports the NAVAIR Program Office Senior Leadership team at Patuxent River, NAS.
Essential Job Functions of this Position:
The Communications Specialist will generate, edit and route press releases, and draft Communication Plans. He/She will also interface with the PEO (T) public affairs officers and respond to media queries. The Communications Specialist will also provide internal communication services for the PMA.
Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree and at least four (4) years of experience in a business or technical position is required. At least two (2) years of experience supporting DoD efforts is required. An Associate's degree and eight (8) years of related experience or High School diploma/GED and twelve (12) years of related experience may substitute in lieu of the Bachelor's degree requirement. Previous work experience as a Public Affairs Officer and/or previous experience as a Communications Specialist is highly desired.
Must have an active Secret security clearance.
