We are seeking a Managing Director to assist with our cybersecurity due diligence capabilities . We are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage cybersecurity due diligence efforts for Private Equity firms, corporations, and other stakeholders during mergers, acquisitions, and other parts of the investment lifecycle.
- Develop, execute, and manage end-to-end cybersecurity assessment strategies to evaluate potential risks and identify mitigation measures within M&A contexts.
- Collaborate with executive teams, legal, and financial advisors to align cybersecurity assessments with business goals, risk tolerance, and transaction timelines.
- Provide guidance on integrating cybersecurity strategies post-transaction to ensure seamless transition, risk reduction, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the creation of risk mitigation plans, compliance assessments, and detailed cybersecurity reports for stakeholders involved in M&A transactions.
- Provide thought leadership to clients, positioning the company as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity best practices and trends related to M&A and Private Equity investments.
- Assist with business development efforts, including the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client interactions, to expand the company's M&A cybersecurity consulting offerings.
How You'll Grow
- Manage consultants on engagements which involve teams of investigative researchers
- Gather and analyze critical information, enabling clients to make informed decisions, maximize opportunities and protect assets
- Develop investigative plans and strategies for engagements and produce creative solutions to challenging research problems
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience
- Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s).
- Extensive experience in leading cybersecurity due diligence , carve-outs, and integration efforts related to M&A and Private Equity deals.
- Familiarity with the financial, operational, and regulatory considerations that impact cybersecurity during M&A transactions.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex projects with high visibility and the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of the intersection between cybersecurity risk, business strategy, and financial outcomes.
- Expertise in conducting threat assessments, vulnerability management, risk analysis, and developing actionable remediation strategies.
- Strong network in the Private Equity and M&A communities, with a reputation for providing value-added cybersecurity advice.
- Excellent writing skills - The applicant should be familiar with legal and financial nomenclature and be able to draft accurate , concise summaries.
