Overview
The Technical Operations Manager role supports and manages decisions on day-to-day operation and delivery. The primary focus is supporting the field engineering, programming & Quality Assurance team(s) on team assignments, budget tracking, workload management. This role is responsible for conducting CFR's and reviewing ADP Goals with teammates. When required, this role will coordinate with field engineering and programming subcontractors to ensure information is exchanged properly and are supported by Vision.

When required, this role will coordinate with field engineering and programming subcontractors to ensure information is exchanged properly and are supported by Vision.
Reports to: Director of Technical Operations and Engineering
Responsibilities
- New Project Assignment
- Receives requests from the project management team and/or Ops Management for Tech Ops resources.
- Reviews preliminary timelines and assigns teammates based on workload and schedule.
- Makes required assignments in LN and any other required locations.
- Send an announcement email to the project team and management team.
- Primary point of contact for inquiries on project assignments.
- Expectation of assignment in 2 days or less from initial request.
- Projects with mismatching information or missing information will be kicked back to the PM/AE team for review and correction.
- Budget Tracking
- Consistent tracking and management of in-progress (IP'ed) projects.
- Review budget performance on closed projects with assigned team mates.
- Identify trends or patterns in budget performance vs. assigned team (whole).
- Continuous Feedback and Recognition
- Conduct monthly CFR's with all assigned teammates.
- Provide feedback based on provided performance and metrics
- Coordinate with the Technical Operations & Engineering Director to work on improvements based on feedback from CFR's
- Objectives, Targets and Results
- Ensure teammates complete their ADP Goals every month.
- Review Goals and make required adjustments on a yearly basis.
- Sub-Contractor Support
- Engage trusted sub-contractors based on workload and schedule
- Negotiate rate and terms for each project to maintain budget
- Coordinate file transfers, RFI's and drawing reviews.
- Ensure contractor quotes are managed and PO's are generated by the PM/PC team
- Review sub-contractors performance at least annually
- Continual research on new sub-contractor partners.
- Scheduling and Labor Tracking
- Manage scheduling platform for Tech Ops resources to align with operations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and resource request portals for dates and needs.
- Review and monitor project plans for updated requirements.
- Hold design team accountable for meeting deadlines.
- Monitors all projects by having Assigned Projects Update meetings with all teammates individually in a regular cadence.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher.
- 1 to 3 years of management or team-leading experience
- Experience with:
- Major networking manufacturers (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and Teams
- Distributed Antenna Systems including Public Safety DAS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and instructions.

- Ability to manage an ever-changing schedule and ensure project success
- Encompass the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to effectively lead and manage people, projects, and resources within an organization.
- The capacity to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively
- Familiarity with relevant software, tools, and technologies around networking and RF/DAS
