Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for the newest member of our premier team; Systems Engineer. This position provides program analysis expertise for an ACAT 1 NAVAIR program that is driving requirement definition, resource allocation, acquisition and test planning for TACAIR platform. The right team member will become part of a long standing, well respected and growing team with a history of leveraging experience and developing newcomers to defense acquisition at Patuxent River, NAS.
Essential Job Functions of this Position:
Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and at least three (3) years of demonstrated experience with the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of military programs and major weapon system development and acquisition is required. Knowledge and experience in NAVAIR SETR process is highly desired. Experience with radar, or other sensor integration is highly desired. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills commensurate with a technical and facilitator role and possess knowledge with MS Office Suite.
An active Top-Secret security clearance is desired. An active Secret clearance with Top-Secret eligibility may be considered for otherwise well qualified candidates.

Essential Job Functions of this Position:
- Apply systems engineering to develop and review system performance specifications including support to NAVAIR SETR process
- Review and prepare system engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
- Collect, complete, organize and interpret technical data and information relating to radar procurement and upgrades
- Provide subject matter expertise on HW/SW development processes and industry best practices
- Provide Engineering subject matter expertise on development, integration, upgrade, and engineering processes
- Provide technical analysis support and apply knowledge of radar and sensor integration to support platform upgrades and fielding
- Travel as required to support customer requirements.
