Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for the newest member of our premier team; Network Systems Administrator. This position supports team efforts onboard Patuxent River NAS and is related to information systems operations, to include: Information Systems (IS) security, administration, and maintaining operating systems related to hardware and software.

Essential Job Functions of this Position:

The Network Systems Administrator will utilize their proficiency with IS, PC troubleshooting skills, computer applications knowledge, and problem-solving skills to perform the following functions:
  • Maintain multiple Information Systems
  • Assist with deployment of Information Technology (IT) equipment
  • Ensure the stable operation of the entire WAN and computing resources. This includes, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
  • Manage VMware and physical servers, including Domain controllers, database, email, email archive system, file, print, application servers and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing SharePoint servers
  • Perform system backups and recovery.
  • Perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server Active Directory, Group Policy, and Domain Services.
  • Ability to perform in high pressure or stressful situations, as projects can change quickly.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying or pushing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel
  • Provide end user support in a professional and courteous manner, and provide training for computers, and applications
  • Installing and configuring new infrastructure, servers, and software

Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience

Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems/Technology and at least six (6) years of experience in supporting Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) systems is required. A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as information technology is desired. Must have knowledge of hardware and software installations, testing and operation and knowledge of application of computer software for automating highly diverse agency/organizational activities. A DoD 8670.1M IAT level II certification is desired (CCNA-Security, GSEC, or Security+ CE).

Should have an active Top-Secret clearance. An active Secret clearance with Top-Secret eligibility may be considered for otherwise well qualified candidates.
